Willie L. Allen, III was born April 12, 1947, to the late Willie Allen, Jr. and Annie Lou Allen in Washington, DC, and suddenly departed this life on November 16, 2022.
Willie received his formal education through the District of Columbia Public School System and Prince Georges County Public School System.
Willie accepted Christ in his latter years and became a dutiful servant unto the Lord. He was consecrated as a Deacon, member of the Men's Choir, and Trustee at New Horizon Baptist Church in Clinton, MD where he served faithfully until the Lord called him to Clinton Baptist Church. There, he served on the Deacon Board, facilitated Bible Study, and visited the Prison and Homeless Shelters as part of his ministry.
Willie had a very broad work career that started with the U.S. Post Office, Sally's Beauty Supply, Capitol Cigars and Red Coats, Inc. as an Account Manager. He also had various management positions within several janitorial cleaning companies that includes Centennial One, Inc., Woodbine Health and Rehab and Simon Properties before retiring in 2009.
Willie loved spending time with family and friends and watching football games. He enjoyed camping, traveling, and going to the beach. His new found love was playing and participating in golf tournaments. If he was not at the golf course, you can find him at the Senior Recreation Center on Allentown Road creating new friendships, and playing chess and bid whist.
Willie was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Pamela Allen, and his daughter Alima Allen. He leaves, to cherish his memories, 5 daughters, Theresa McCane (Charles), Christine Anderson, Corena Watkins (Keith), Pamela Watkins, and Khadijah Camp; one son, Willie Allen, IV; 21 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Willie also leaves, to cherish his memories, 5 sisters, Bernice Allen (Bobby), Schewron Robbins, Deloris Turner (Bernard, preceded her in death), Tracy Allen, and Charniquia "Kia" Allen; 2 brothers, Calvin Allen, Sr. (Kathy), and Clifford Allen (Angeolic), and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and close family friends.
