William Clifton Page peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday February 2, 2022 after several years of declining health. Billy as he was known to family and friends was born on June 11, 1944 to the late Robert and Mable Page. He was one of six children.
Billy was educated in the Washington, DC public school system and received his high school diploma from Phelps Vocational High School where he excelled in shoe repair. Though he may not have pursued a career in shoe repair he always admired the quality of a good pair of shoes. He also furthered his education by attending the University of the District of Columbia.
Billy gave his life to Christ at an early age being baptized at East Friendship Baptist Church in Washington, DC. Although he didn't attend church regularly, he still believed in the word of Jesus Christ.
Upon graduation Billy started his career with the District of Columbia Human Services at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital. He gave 31 years of service before retiring as a Forensic Psychiatric Technician. Throughout his career Billy was responsible for providing medical care and assistance to several patients.
On August 8, 1964 Billy married Annette Robinson from this union they were blessed with two sons Sherwood "Woody" and Kevin. This illustrious marriage lasted 57 years which provided a number of joyous memories.
Billy enjoyed several hobbies to include bowling, picture painting, drawing, photography as well as car repair. You could also find him on the airwaves with his CB radio under the handle of "Wild Bill". He also was quiet the handy man when it came to painting and carpentry, but his true passion was repairing and racing cars with his boys. He had several cars, but his favorite was a 1964 Chevy Nova station wagon he passionately called Fantastic. You could find him racing it between Aquasco and Capitol raceways in the 70's and 80's. He put his passion of racing to the side to support his family and their activities. He held on to the car up until recently hoping to take her down Capitol one last time. Due to his declining health, he was unable to make that last pass.
He leaves to cherish his wife Annette their two sons, Woody (Nicole), Kevin (late Julia), two granddaughters Nina and Solana; five sisters Kreceda Page, Rolline Washington, Lolita Chichester, Pamela Taylor Scott, Paula Waldon along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
