Walter "Bobby" Lee Watson, aged 82, a beloved resident of District Heights, Maryland, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, as he transitioned into eternity to be with the Lord. Affectionately known as Bobby, he entered this world on May 29, 1941, in the town of Aulander, North Carolina. Throughout his life, Bobby touched the hearts of many and will be remembered for his kindness, hard work, and the lasting impact he made on those around him.

Bobby's journey in life was deeply intertwined with his loving wife, Jean Smith. Reverend Sydney Yancey of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Washington, DC, officiated their union on December 12, 1964, and for the next 59 years, Bobby and Jean shared a beautiful and enduring bond. Together, they nurtured a loving family and were blessed with three children: Trina, Regina, and Walter.

A celebration of Bobby's life will be held on Friday, June 7th, at the Cedar Hill Funeral Home located at 4111 Pennsylvania Ave, District Heights, MD 20746. The family will warmly welcome friends and well-wishers from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a service honoring Bobby's memory.

Following the service, a procession will lead to the Cedar Hill Cemetery where Bobby will be laid to rest, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the memories of a life well-lived. As we gather to honor and remember Bobby, let us cherish the legacy of love, kindness, and hard work that he leaves behind for all who knew him.
