Vincent Brian Lewis, Sr., known to family and friends as "Dunk," was born in Washington, D.C. on January 9, 1955, to the late Russell James and Ethelene Loretta Lewis.  On Saturday, February 12, 2022, after a short stay in the hospital, Vincent departed this life at Inova Mount Vernon in Alexandria, VA.

Vincent met and married the late Siller Lewis, and from that union one son was born.

Vincent received his education from the District of Columbia Public School System, graduating from Springarn High School in 1973.  He began his career as a federal government employee, working for the U.S. Department of State, Office of Protocol where he retired from after over 20 years of service.  In his leisure, Vincent enjoyed listening to music and watching sporting events of all kind, but his true passion was football.  He was a huge fan of the Washington Commanders (formerly, Washington Football Team and Washington Redskins).

Vincent leaves to treasure his memories, one son, Vincent B., II (Sharita); two grandsons, Vincent B. III and Brandon; three brothers, Edward J. Davis, Sr. (Judith), Wendell Lewis (Ruth), and Gary W. Lewis, Sr. (Glenda); one sister, Beverly Lewis; three nephews Edward J., II (Mina), Gary W., Jr., and Jibaye Ogunsiakan; one niece, Charmaine Gurley (Calvin); one great nephew, Messiah; one great niece Arie; one aunt, Dorothy Hammond, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Vincent was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Nathaniel and Carey.
