Valerie Prue Bockarie was born October 17, 1966 in Washington, DC. She graduated from Oxon Hill High School in 1984. For more than 20 years Valerie was a computer programmer. Valerie received the degree of Associate in Arts in Computer Programming and Analysis.

Valerie loved family cookouts and gatherings. She and her son Saeed love to go to the beach and travel to New York and Florida.

Her father, the late Kenneth Delano Prue preceded her in death, as well as her younger brother Andre Nile Prue.  Valerie is survived by her son Saeed Bockarie, her mother Annabelle and two brothers Glenn Williams and Trent Kenneth Prue; two nieces Sasha Ann Prue and Lakisha Williams, as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
