Tracy Andrew Manley, Sr., 52 years old, of Washington, D.C., departed this life on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.
Tracy was born on June 18, 1970, in Halifax, North Carolina, to the late Elton Reed Williams and Barbara Ann Manley Coleman. Tracy was the second oldest of five children.
Tracy was educated in the public school systems of Halifax County, North Carolina and Washington, D.C. He went on to earn his High School Diploma from Stone Coast Academy located in Miami, Florida. Tracy confessed Jesus Christ at an early age while attending the family church, Evangelistic Church of Deliverance, Weldon, NC. As an adult, he later became a member of Faith United Ministries, then located in Washington, DC, where he served as a member of the Security Ministry. Most recently, Tracy reconnected to his faith. He was an avid listener of Dr. Tony Evans. He spent most of his time reading and listening to the Word of God.
Tracy worked in a variety of positions throughout his career, including Construction Worker, Heavy Equipment Operator and earned a certification as a Truck Driver. Most recently, he drove from BMP Trucking in Beckley, West Va. Tracy was a kind, gentle, and loving man. He was a constant protector of his family. He made friends and earned the respect of so many of his peers. He had a witty sense of humor and a hearty appetite. His close friends were like a second family to him. Tracy enjoyed spending time at the beach, fishing and was an avid sports fan. He was a die-hard New Orleans Saints fan having relocated to Coushatta, LA in the latter part
of his life.
Tracy leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elton Reed Williams and Barbara Ann Manley Coleman, and one brother, McKinny White. Those left to cherish and celebrate his life are his daughters, Tikeashia Plowden of Washington, DC, Keyanna Davis of Weldon, NC, Heaven Manley of Milford, Delaware, Rhonicka Neal and Emonni Neal of Washington, DC; son, Tracy Manley, Jr., of Milford, Delaware; sisters, Barbara Manley Gray (Thomas) of Upper Marlboro, MD, and Tikisia White-Hall (Eric) of Upper Marlboro, MD; brother, Brentin "Chan" Williams of Weldon, NC; fiancé, Gloria Nelson of Crestview, Florida; four grandsons; and two granddaughters; and a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Tracy is also survived by five uncles, Major Otis Manley, Roy Elton Manley
(Carmen), Claude Wilson Manley (Patricia), Kenneth Lindberg (Joyce), and William
