Susan Jeneal Pogue was born on July 5, 1942, in Remert, South Carolina, to the late Henry and Blanche Pogue. She peacefully transitioned on August 1, 2026.

Susan was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and she was cherished by all who knew and loved her. She will be truly missed by the many lives she touched through her wisdom, her appreciation for life, and the love and strength she shared with others. Her favorite saying reflected the faith and power she carried throughout her life: “Once you have prayer you’ll have peace and once you have peace you’ll have power.”

A celebration of life service will be held on August 25 at the Chapel of Cedar Hill. Family and friends will receive guests from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with the service to follow. Susan will be laid to rest at the Historical Lincoln Memorial Cemetery immediately following the service.
