Obituary
On Thursday, February 22, 2018, Sue Wah Yee, age 85, died peacefully in her sleep in her longtime home in Washington DC.
Born April 17, 1932, in Hong Kong, China, she was the daughter of the late Sau Wing Wong. She married the love of her life, Yuen Foo at a very young age of 16. They were happily married for 60 wonderful years. In 1964, Sue and Yuen with their two boys, moved from China to the US. Without knowing any English, Sue took it upon herself to learn English, go to College, and get a US driver's license. Within a short time, Sue and her husband worked together and opened their own Chinese Restaurant. They also bought their first and only home in Washington DC, where they raised their children and lived out the rest of their lives. Sue took joy in a simple and peaceful life reading novels, watching Chinese movies, singing and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Yee is preceded in death by her husband, Yuen Foo. She will be forever remembered by her loving family. She is survived by her sons Gene and his wife Fone Kew and Sing and his wife Shannon, her daughters Oi and her husband Norbert and Mo and her husband Kinard and her youngest son, Fon. She is also survived by Grandchildren Kan (Xiu Yi), Han, Brian (Jessica), Lawrence, Yok, Nicholas, Sara, Tiffany and Christopher (Ashley); Great-Grandchildren Kaidance, Dominic and Landon.
