Shalon Elease Covington, entered this world in Washington DC on November 30, 1970. She was the daughter of Theresa Covington and Charles McKnight. Shalon was a loving mother to her sons, Travis and Jeffrey Covington, and they shared a special bond.

Shalon's inner and outer beauty left an indelible mark on all who knew her, making her passing a deeply felt loss. Her kindness, grace, and love will be remembered by many, and her absence will be keenly felt.

To honor and celebrate her life, a special service will be held at Johnson Memorial Baptist Church,800 Ridge Rd SE, Washington, DC 20019 on Monday, August 12th. The viewing will be from 10:00am- 11:00am and the service will be from 11:00am to 12:00pm.

Following the service, a peaceful interment will take place at Heritage Memorial Cemetery, providing a final resting place for Shalon.

Following the interment a repast will be held at the Johnson Memorial Baptist Church,800 Ridge Rd SE, Washington, DC 20019.
