Sampson W. Jones,  88 , of Washington, D.C., passed away on May 27, 2021.
Sampson W. Jones  was born on March 20, 1933, to Willie B. Jones and Earlean Felder Jones in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Education at  Winston-Salem State University in  1951.
He enlisted into joined  the U.S. Air Force and was  in active service from 1955-1959 .   After leaving the military, he moved to the Washington, D.C.  area, where he worked was as a substitute teacher then started a career in at the U.S. Postal Service.

Sampson W. Jones was predeceased by his father, Willie B. Jones, his mother, Earlean Ruby Felder Jones, his oldest brother, Hamlin Waymon Jones,  and four sisters, Dorothy Mae Jones, Dorothy Lee  Jones Sansbury,  Hattie Ruth Jones,  and Mary Woodard.

Sampson W. Jones is survived by four children , Earlean , Sebastian, Mitzi, and Amy and ten grandchildren, Andrew, Terence, Matthew, Justin, Kireah, Toni, Tiara, Kristina, Sebastian, and Joshua.
He is also survived by three brothers,  Charles Jones, James Jones, and Melvin Jones and three sisters, Ernestine Simington, Mildred Price, and Gwendolyn J. Brown.
