Obituary

Ruth Mallory Styles was born on June 25, 1920 in Hampton, Virginia and departed this life on May 29, 2007 in Alexandria, Virginia to go home to Heaven to receive her just reward.
Ruth began her education in Hampton, Virginia and also studied at St. Augustine College in Raleigh, North Carolina for a period of time. Ruth went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree at the age of 52 in March 1974 from the Federal City College in Washington, DC. Ruth retired from the Federal Government as a Psychiatric Nurse at St. Elizabeth's Hospital.
Ruth's love of music began at an early age. She studied piano weekly while in grade school. While attending St. Augustine College, Ruth was a member of the choir, singing first soprano. Ruth was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church where she continued her love of music by singing first soprano in the Church Choir. She kept a membership at the Smithsonian Institute and the Kennedy Center. She enjoyed the fine arts.
Ruth's loving husband, Jack Z. Styles, Sr. precedes her in death.
She leaves behind, her only son, Jack Z. Styles, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Anita D. Styles; granddaughter, Cyreice Stehle and great-granddaughter, Amanda Mays and a host of close friends to cherish her loving memory.
