In Loving Memory of Ruth Ella Smith

Ruth Ella Smith, born on July 7, 1932, in Washington DC, to Eugene Patterson and Modeal Tracy, peacefully passed away on June 5, 2024. She lived a life filled with love, generosity, and kindness that left a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Ruth was the loving wife of Charles William Smith and the devoted mother to her son, Charles Smith. She had a special affinity for children and dedicated herself to nurturing and caring for them as a daycare provider. Her warmth and compassion created a safe and loving environment for the children under her care, shaping their early years with love and guidance.

A service to honor and celebrate Ruth's life will be held on Wednesday, June 19th, at Corinthian Baptist Church, located at 6705 Good Luck Road, Lanham, MD 20706. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a burial at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.

Ruth will be fondly remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and selfless dedication to her family and community. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace, knowing that her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
