Rosa Thompson Destry, born on October 1, 1938, in Maypen, Clarendon, Jamaica, to George Thompson and Gertrude Sweden, peacefully departed this world on April 9, 2025.

Rosa was a remarkable woman known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. As a devoted mother and grandmother, she dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting her loved ones, instilling in them the values of compassion and resilience. Her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories of her laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love.

Rosa's impact extended beyond her family; she was a nurse, cherished friend and a beloved member of her community. Her spirit and generosity touched the lives of many, making her a source of inspiration for those around her.

A memorial service to celebrate Rosa's life will be held at First Baptist Church-Suitland, located at 5400 Silver Hill Road, Suitland, MD 20747, on April 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her memory and sharing stories of the joy she brought into their lives.

Rosa will be deeply missed but remembered fondly by all who knew her.
