Roosevelt Melvin Daniels was born to Roosevelt Alexander and Lottie Belle Daniels on April 25, 1950, in Washington, DC. Roosevelt graduated from the District of Columbia public school. He joined the Catholic Church in 1984 and served it up to his death on November 3, 2018.
During his service to the Lord, he joined St Teresa, became a member of the Men of St. Teresa (MOST), the DePaul Society Minister Hospitality, and went to the rank of 3rd and 4th degree Knights of Columbus. He was also involved in the Minister Hospitality, Minister of the Cup, was an usher and volunteered for the Meals on Wheels, the Share Program and other committees and projects. In 2018, he joined the Holy Name Society as well as other organizations in the church. He gave over twenty years to the church as a whole and served the church for most of his life. He was a very faithful man and believed that the good that you do will come back to you. His legacy is that he will always be remembered as a very dependable person and who cared very much about his family and friends.
Roosevelt is survived by his siblings, Anthony Daniels, Yvonne Daniels (and Robert), Deborah Daniels (and Dean) and Gwendolyn Daniels. He is also survived by his aunt Elizabeth Cunningham, hisnieces, Renee Garnett, Rita Whatley, Monique Daniels, Latisha Daniels, Keturah Gantt, and one nephew, March'e Daniels and a host of great nieces and nephews.
