Ronnie Gene Harmon, Sr. was born on October 16, 1940 in Gary, West Virginia to the union of Hylton and Evelyn Saunders Harmon. He made his transition on December 17, 2008 in Washington, DC.
He served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.
Ronnie was married to Betty Mae Harmon and they were blessed with four children.
He was employed with SAFEWAY for thirty-nine years before retiring.
He leaves to cherish his legacy; his wife, Betty Harmon; his children, Ronnie Harmon, Jr. (Sylvia), Felicia Harmon-Darby (Charles), Donnie Harmon and Deborah Freeman (Robert); his siblings, Tyrone Harmon (Hattie) Gerard Harmon(Sharon) and Damita Jo Swain; he is also survived by nine grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 23 at the Cedar Hill Funeral Home, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, Maryland from 11:30 AM until the funeral at 1:00 PM. Entombment in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Mausoleum in Suitland, Maryland.
