IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rodney Eugene
Broady
February 14, 1965 – April 14, 2025
Rodney Eugene Broady, age 60, of Washington, D.C., passed away on April 14, 2025. Born on Valentine's Day in 1965, Rodney was a spirited and unforgettable soul whose presence left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Rodney was the beloved son of Grace E. Taylor-McNair and his stepfather, John McNair. He was a proud and protective brother to Tiffany Taylor and Rochelle Gaskins-Pinkard. He also leaves behind his cherished children, Tiffany, Rodney, and Ricco, as well as his loving significant other, Malikaah.
A proud Washingtonian through and through, Rodney was a die-hard fan of the Washington Commanders and a lifelong lover of Go-Go music. His passion for cars matched his vibrant personality—strong, kind, ambitious, charismatic, and, at times, undeniably stubborn. But through it all, Rodney was a gentle soul with a heart full of love, known and adored by many.
Rodney spent his later years proudly serving as a Security Guard at the Smithsonian/Allied Security, where he was known for his steady presence, strength, and warm demeanor.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday May 1st at Cedar Hill Funeral Home Chapel, where family will receive friends from 10:00AM- 11:00AM with services to follow.
