Obituary

Regina Williams Silver was born October 17, 1949 in Washington, DC, to the late Jesse Welton Williams and Fannie Mozzelle Ford Williams. In 1972 she completed her course of studies and began a career as a Registered Nurse. She was employed at the Washington Hospital Center as a Head Nurse and as a Nursing Computer Specialist at Greater Southeast Community Hospital. She also worked at INOVA Home Health and Medstar VNA Healthcare.
Regina's dedication and commitment to patient care was recognized by being awarded Nurse of the Year, Employee of the Month and numerous certificates of appreciation.
Regina was a member of the Unity Baptist Church. She loved singing in the choir, reading the Bible, attending gospel concerts, praying and working with various ministeries. She was truly a giver and a friend to anyone who knew her.
Regina departed this life peacefully at Speciality Hospital of Washington on Easter morning, April 8, 2007 after a courageous fight from the complications of diabetes. She is survived by a loving and devoted husband, Otis Silver, Jr.; a daughter, Tiffany Silver; a son Anthony Silver; a brother Jesse W. Williams and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 13, 2007 at the Zion Church, 1450 Mercantile Lane, Suite 247, Largo, Maryland from 7:00 until 9:00 PM and on Saturday, April 14 from 10:00 AM until the service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the Lincoln Memorial Cemtery in Suitland, Maryland.
