Regina Ruth-Mary Coleman was born on July 27, 1947 in Washington, DC at Garfield Hospital Center. Daughter of William and Idella Wright and sister of Ina Wright, she attended Charles Young Elementary, Brown Junior High and graduated from Spingarn High School in 1965. While at Spingarn she was a member of Y-Teens, F.N.A and the Safety Education Club. On April 4, 1970 she married Eddie Coleman. Regina went on to begin a career working many years for the United States Federal Government as an employee of the Bureau of Printing and Engraving. Later in her career she began working for the Bureau of Mines. An occupation she loved, even after retirement. She traveled extensively throughout the United States providing statistical data from various mines throughout the country. She later retired as Supervisor Statistical Assistant.
While living in Southeast Washington, DC Regina became very involved in her church, St. Francis Xavier. While at the church she served as a dedicated member of the church choir. She would later purchase a home "As a gift to herself" in Glenarden, MD. Regina had many hobbies and was very talented at needlepoint. Regina loved music and was a huge fan of Michael Jackson. She was an avid dog lover and always had dogs as pets.
On October 17th, 2014, Regina Ruth-Mary Coleman went on to live with the Lord. She was survived by her 3 nephews, 2 great-nieces, 2 great-nephews, many close lifelong friends, countless admirers and her beloved pet dog Toki. She will be missed by all.
