On August 9, 2022, an angel of mercy descended and gently lifted our loved one Ralph E. Martin Sr. (Pops/Uncle Babe Brother) and took him under his wings.
Ralph was born in Washington DC on June 9,1938 to the late Mary Addie and Mark Martin Sr. He was the last survivor of eleven children.
Ralph was educated in the Prince Georges County Public School system and honorably served three years in the United Stated Army.
Sixty years ago, he was united in holy matrimony to Varnell Prince and from that Union four children were born. Ralph E. Martin Jr., Gregory A. Martin (deceased), Tina R. Martin and Cheresse L Martin-Williams.
He is also cherished in memory by his daughter Phyllis Parks, 10 grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ralph was Blessed to be able to retire in the year, 2003. His retirement enabled him to enjoy his many hobbies, including, being a die hard Washington Redskins fan, golfing, bowling, camping, and most of all, fishing with his family and friends.
A grave-side Celebration of Life will be held Friday August 19, 2022, 11am, at Cedar Hill Cemetery. 4111 Pennsylvania Ave. Hillcrest Heights, MD 20746. Due to covid-restriction, there will be no formal Repast.
