January 17, 1932 – August 5, 2020
Patricia B. Kitt was born in Arlington, VA on January 17, 1932 to William Henry Broden and Ruth Serena Felder. After graduating from the District of Columbia Public Schools, she attended George Washington University and University of the District of Columbia for her Bachelors of Arts degree in Special Education, Guidance Counseling, and Supervision and Administration. She received her Master's Degree in Teaching from Trinity College.
Patricia worked 30 years in District of Columbia Public Schools as an Elementary Principal and Assistant Principal with concentration in Special Education. She retired in 1988. Her charismatic personality made her well-liked by her coworkers, friends and family. She carried those same attributes into being an active member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
Patricia had 2 children, Wanda Marie Behlin Davis and Aaron Eugene Behlin from her union with Harold Eugene Behlin, with whom she treasured and raised. Both children completed their Master's degree before preceding their death. Patricia married the late Joseph Kitt on April 7 th , 1972. They remained married and in love until his death in 2009.
In 1992, Patricia cherished, loved and became legal guardian of her grandchildren Anthony Davis and Adrienne W. (Davis) Hill. She actively participated in every aspect of their education and life. She faithfully guided them through their education and religious upbringing.
Patricia was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She rose above and beyond to be active in every aspect of their educational, recreational, and social activities for her great grandchildren, Davis C. Hill and Carter T. Hill.
Suddenly, on Wednesday August 5 th , 2020, the Lord called Patsy home to be with Him where she will continue to look over us all with pride and honor.
