Oscar Lewis Kelow was born January 23, 1941 in Wilsonville Alabama to
the late Elgie Kelow and Mable Lilly. He was baptized at an early age
and received his education in Alabama.
After graduating from high school, he was drafted into the Navy. In
December 1962, he moved to Washington D.C. where he worked in a
Janitorial position at the National Institutes of Health. Lewis met Lillian
Conner in February 1987 and they were married on St. Patrick's Day,
March 17, 1989.
Lewis (Kelow) who was a very quiet, low-keyed person was known for
always sitting on his screened porch or in the basement watching his
sports slipped quietly into eternal life at 11:15 pm on Friday, August 20,
2021. Lewis will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Lewis was preceded in death by his mother, father, four brothers, three
sisters and one step son.
Lewis leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lillian; two sons, Paul and
Jerry; brother, Jerry; step daughter, Gloria; three step sons, Leonard
(Tonette), Andre (Tanya), Albert (Yvette) and many nieces, nephews
and friends.
