Norris A. Owens, Sr. was born on July 29, 1930 in Washington, DC to the late Frederick and Charlotte Johnson Owens.
Norris was educated in and graduated from the District of Columbia Public School System. He was employed with the government of the District of Columbia as a motor vehicle inspector.
He was married to Betty Thompson Owens.
He leaves to cherish the memories of his life; his beloved wife, Betty T. Owens; his loving son, Norris "Marky" Owens, Jr., a grandson and a granddaughter; his brothers, Stephen and Jessie Owens; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 12, 2007 in the Chapel of the Cedar Hill Funeral Home, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, Maryland at 9:00AM, where funeral services will follow at 10:00AM. Interment will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
