Nixia Tanisha Kenny was born on July 14, 1982, in Panama City, Panama. She was called home to the Lord on January 23, 2026. Nixia was a beloved mother, daughter, and sister, and was cherished by many family and friends. Her kindness, quiet strength, and empathetic spirit touched all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

A celebration of Nixia's life will be held on Friday, February 13, at Way of the Cross Church of Christ, located at 1800 Hazelwood Drive, Capitol Heights, MD 20743. In loving remembrance, guests are kindly asked to wear white in celebration of Nixia's life. Friends, loved ones, and members of Nixia's community are welcome to pay their respects during the viewing from 10:00-11:00 a.m., with the funeral service following immediately after.  She will be lovingly laid to rest at Washington National Cemetery at 41801 Suitland Road, Suitland-Silver Hill, MD 20746.

Please note: floral arrangements may be delivered to Way of the Cross Church beginning at 8:30 a.m. on February 13. Deliveries prior to this time are not permitted.
