Maurice Daniels was born in Washington, DC, on
April 8, 1952. His loving parents were Lottie B. and
Roosevelt A. Daniels. Maurice was a blessing to his
parents upon his birth.
He obtained his GED later on in life and learnt life
skills from others and was often trying new career
skills on his own. He had knowledge of various skills
in and around the house. He was a quick learner.
He had a yard of beautiful plants that he planted
himself to make his home standout. There was not
a day that he was not making home improvements
or helping others.
Maurice was a very loving man and would give you
the shirt off of his back. He often gave comfort and
advice when you needed it the most. He was also
very protective of his family. He was sometime
misunderstood and taken advantage of, yet it did
not bother him. He loved everyone anyway. He
was special in his own right. He also had an
infectious smile that lite up a room. He will be
missed. He was also very opinionated about ever
subject that would come up in a conversation. Yet,
he was the best brother that we ever had.
Maurice is survived by his siblings, Roosevelt M.
Daniels, Anthony Daniels, Yvonne Daniels, Deborah
A. Daniels, Gwendolyn M. Daniels, his aunt
Elizabeth Cunningham, his nieces Renee L. Garnett,
Rita Whatley, Monique Daniels, Latisha Daniels,
Keturah Gantt, and one nephew March'e J. Daniels
and a host of great nieces and nephews. He is also
survived by his partner, Lisa Embrey.
