Mattie Bell was born February 24, 1936, in Garysburg, North Carolina. She transitioned from earth on August 9, 2025.

Mattie was a beloved mother and cherished by many. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, August 20, at Maple Springs Baptist Church, located at 4131 Belt Road, Capitol Heights, MD 20743. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service following immediately afterward.
