Mary Lena Copeland was born March 15,1952 in Norfolk, Virginia. She peacefully transitioned from earth on August 13, 2025.

Mary was a beloved mother and cherished by many. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

A celebration of Mary's life will be held on Thursday, August 28, at Maple Springs Baptist Church, located at 4131 Belt Road, Capitol Heights, MD 20743. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service following immediately afterward.
