It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Back, a beloved figure in the lives of many as a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She peacefully departed this world at the age of 92 on March 18, 2024. Margaret, affectionately known as Peggy, leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever be held dear by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Surviving Margaret are her loving children: Ernest Dorsey (Diane), Michael Dorsey (Nancy), Patricia Hernandez, and Cecil Dorsey. She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her dear sisters Norma Scaramo, Nancy Celenza (Ed), and Diane Swink, her brother Richard Stevens (Bonnie), and many other extended family members who will dearly miss her presence.

Peggy's journey began on January 9, 1932, in Southwest Washington DC, where she was born. In her later years, she called Dover, DE, her home, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all who crossed her path.

To honor and celebrate the remarkable life of Margaret Back, a service will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Cedar Hill Funeral Chapel, located at 4111 Pennsylvania Ave, Suitland, MD 20746. Following the service, a respectful interment will take place at Washington National Cemetery, 4101 Suitland Rd, Suitland MD. Family, friends, and all who knew Peggy are invited to join in commemorating her life and sharing in the memories that she leaves behind.
