Mrs. Magdalene Frazier the Phenomenal Woman Born December 14, 1928 to parents Virginia and Jasper Pridgen, in the small town of Ivanhoe, NC. She was the youngest sibling to Everlina and John Thomas. Her parents later moved to Elizabethtown, NC. Magdalene knew the value of having strong work ethics. She worked as a hairdresser, she was determined with self-education, and learned to drive at the age of 14 years old, in order to help her family to run errands and later got a job as a school bus driver in Bladen County, NC where she worked for 5 years. In the 1960s she migrated to Washington, DC for a better opportunity. She worked as a transport technician at Georgetown Hospital, in 1970 she attended Strayer University, where she graduated with an Associate Degree in Accounting. She also attended a career training program during the late 1970s and began a new career as a computer technician, until 1980 working for Control Data where she was extremely thrilled and happy to retire from. With a degree in accounting, she also began working part time as a tax preparer for 25 years providing affordable tax services to her family and friends, and eventually retired in the late 2000s
