Lillie Mae Witcher was born on May 22, 1941, in Raleigh, West Virginia, she transitioned peacefully on July 29, 2026.

Lillie was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister who was cherished by all who knew her and will truly be missed.

A celebration of Lillie's life will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Ebenezer AME Church located at 7707 Allentown Road, Fort Washington, MD 20744. The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am with services to follow. For those who wish to join us, following services the internment will take place at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Suitland, MD.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Lillie’s memory to either of the following organizations, both of which held a special place in her heart:

• - The Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center Brain Tumor Program, honoring her courageous journey and supporting brain tumor research and patient care.
• - St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, continuing her lifelong commitment to helping others through research and compassionate care.
