Lewis Phillip Johnson was born on May 15, 1924, in Rocky Mountain, North Carolina, and peacefully departed this life on June 22, 2025, at the age of 101.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Lewis's life was defined by his unwavering love for his family and his generous spirit. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of kindness, strength, and compassion, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life honoring Lewis will be held on Tuesday, July 8th, at Maple Springs Baptist Church, located at 4131 Belt Road, Capitol Heights, MD 20743. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with services to follow.

Following the service, Lewis will be laid to rest alongside his beloved wife at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
