Jesse "Buck Boy" Harris entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 16, 2007. The eldest son of Elizabeth and the late Jesse Harris, Sr., he was born on September 21, 1952 in Oxford, North Carolina. "Buck" was raised in Washington, DC where he attended the District of Columbia Public Schools and worked as a professional landscaper.
The third of nine children, he was best known for his outrageous remarks and love for his family, in particular his special nephew, Patrick, of whom he shared many fond moments. In his early adult life he traveled to the Caribbean to the beautiful Island of the Grand Bahamas and often told stories of his incredible island escapades.
Jesse accepted Christ as a young adult and believed on the lord until his last breath.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jesse Sr.; two siblings, Patricia and Donald and one niece, Patrice.
He leaves to cherish his memory; a loving and devoted mother, Elizabeth Harris; a daughter, Sylvia McCloud; three sisters, Carolyn (George), Jacqueline and Janice; three brothers, Joseph (Kimberly), Anthony (Beverly) and Keith; four nieces, Tonya, Sherita, Kinite (Anthony) and Dana; six nephews, Patrick, Rodney, Ricardo, Donald,Jr., Joseph,III and Keith,Jr.; four great nieces, Denise, Jasmine, India and Toni; one great nephew, Kevin; three aunts, Mary, Corrine and Priscilla; two uncles, Patrick and Sam; a very special friend, Barbara and a host of other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of the Cedar Hill Funeral Home, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, Maryland.
