Obituary

Jannie Marie Williams was born on November 5, 1940 in Anderson, South Carolina to the union of the late Ruben and Teressa Walker Williams; she made her transition to her Heavenly home on May 9, 2007 in Suitland, Maryland.
Jannie was educated in the Public School System of Anderson, South Carolina.
She was a member of the Saint Paul Baptist Church in Capitol Heights, Maryland where she served the Lord as a member of the choir and the Hostess Board.
Jannie was united in Holy Matrimony to Ulysses Williams and this union was blessed with two daughters.
She retired from the federal government, Environmental Protection Agency, as an Executive Assistant after thirty-two years of exemplary service.
Jannie loved to sew, she made her entire wardrobe "from head to toe." She relished singing with the church choir, shopping and attending her Senior Citizens' Craft Group.
She had a great sense of humor and a genuine love for everyone. She was a "Mother" to every young person that she met.
We shall never say that she is dead, for she lives in our hearts.
Jannie leaves to cherish the memories of her love and legacy; her loving husband, Ulysses Williams; two daughters, Jennicke Williams-Dall and Janet Williams-Ziegler; six grandchildren, one great grandchild; a brother, Johnny Williams; five sisters, Margaret Simmons, Katie Taylor, Katherine Byrd, Peggy Jenkins and Ruby Williams and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 from 10:00 AM until the service at 11:00 AM at the Saint Paul Baptist Church, 6611 Walker Mill Road, Capitol Heights, Maryland. Interment will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, Maryland.
