Jacob Warner was born November 6th, 1945 in Danville, VA. He was the third youngest of thirteen children, born to his late parents Allen and Fannie Warner. On May 30, 2021, in the early morning our heavenly father called Jacob home.
Known affectionately to his family and friends as Big Jake and Slim, who in his younger days was a mischievous child who pulled pranks, stomped his sister flowers, but always loved his family and friends. Jacob was born with a twin, Esau, on the heels of his feet literally minutes apart. As the second of the two, Esau always knew and called Jacob his 'Big bro.· Big Jake was a caring man who loved his family near and far, always trying to do something for someone.
Jacob came to Washington, DC in the early '60s to live with his big sister Angeline, until his mother Fannie said, "You better get your own place, because I didn't raise you to live off family' He cherished his mother deeply and was very heartbroken when she passed. Jacob was gifted in so many ways. There was nothing he would not try to build, paint or repair. He would spend countless hours, if not days on a project refusing to let it get the best of him The majority of the time he always figured it out.
Jacob met his wife after always saying he would never marry a woman unless she had on gasoline draws. His friends didn't let him live that comment down for a long while because the fellas would always say, "/ guess Zet or some would say Zetta has those gasoline draws" which he would get a big laugh from He's been married to his lovely wife Izetta for 53 years now and their love has been unconditional. Wherever he went she was by his side. If it came to painting and sanding a home for a side hustle Zet was right there by his side.
Jacob and Izetta have two sons, Anthony and Glenn whom they are very proud of They gave no grief, no pain, maybe a few heartaches and he leaves them to know that they are cherished and loved He has two daughters-in-law that he cherished very much (Ona and Tasha) in how they loved his sons and would listen and hold long conversations with him about the past repeatedly,
