Hilda S. Kolesar was born on March 19, 1919 in North Braddock, Pennsylvania to the late Fred and Christina Fritz Schartner. She departed this life on Friday, September 19, 2008 in Annapolis, Maryland.
Hilda's hobbies included playing cards and eating crabs. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Esther Schartner, Inga Mansfield, Alma Fogel, Emma Jean Manweller and Ida Schartner.
Hilda leaves to cherish the memories of her life; her children, George B. Hartsuff, Jr. (Antoinette) and Christina L. Murphy; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and a brother, Edward Schartner.
The family will receive friends at the Cedar Hill Funeral Home, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, Maryland on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 from 10:00 AM until the service at 12:00 PM. Interment will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, Maryland.
