George W. Blanchard was born on July 12, 1912 in Marshall Hall, Maryland now referred to as Indian Head, to the union of the late Edward and Mary J. Blanchard. He passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 in King George, Virginia after suffering a stroke.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lottie; daughters, Mary and Linda; grandsons, Roy, Joey and Tommy.
He is survived by his son, Clifford and daughter-in-law, Jessie Ann; eight grandchildren, eightteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of the Cedar Hill Funeral Home, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, Maryland on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 9:00 AM until the service at 10:00 AM. Interment in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, Maryland.
