Franklin W. Bennett, Sr. was born on February 8, 1943 to the late Woodrow Wilson and Dorothy Wise Bennett in Leonardtown, Maryland, he departed this life to be reunited in Heaven with his beloved Lefay on April 17, 2007 in Alexandria, Virginia.
He was married to the late Lefay J. Bennett who passed away in 1987.
Frank was employed with Airway Sheet Metal as a foreman until his retirement. His hobbies included fishing, auto racing and Washington Redskins football.
He leaves to cherish the memories of his life; one daughter, Sonya Jean Bennett; two sons, Frank Edward and Jeffrey Robert Bennett; three grandchildren; Chloe, Jesse and Jacob; two brothers, Robert and Richard; two sisters, Jane and Peggy; two daughters-in-law, Rhonda and Sherry and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 20, 2007 from 5 to 7 PM in the Chapel of the Cedar Hill Funeral Home, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, Maryland, where services will be held on Saturday, April 21 at 9 AM. Interment will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, Maryland.
