Florence Elizabeth Small was born on February 15, 1913 in Washington, DC to the late Hattie Lucas; she departed this life to enter the Celestial City on May 5, 2007 in Takoma Park, Maryland.
Florence confessed Jesus Christ at an early age and remained a Christian for her entire life.
She was married to the late Allen L. Small and this union was blessed with a son.
Florence was gainfully employed as housekeeper in the private industry until her retirement.
The joys of her life included serving the Lord, being with her family, traveling and sewing.
She leaves to cherish the memories of a life well lived; her son, Allen Small, Jr. (Annette) three grandchildren; Nakisha Small, Maurice Small (LaTarsha) and Allen Small, III (Lisa); numerous great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 2:00 PM until the service at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of the Cedar Hill Funeral Home, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, Maryland. Interment will be private.
