Evelyn Christina Young was born on April 11, 1931, in Washington, DC. She transitioned on October 19, 2025.

She was a beloved mother and grandmother who was loved and cherished by all who knew her and will be truly missed.

A celebration of Evelyn's life will be held on Friday, November 7, located at New Canaan Baptist Church, 2826 Bladensburg Rd NE, Washington, DC 20018. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am to 11:00 am., with the funeral service following immediately afterward.

Following the funeral service, the internment will be held at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Suitland, MD.
