Elva E. Wright was born to the late George Wright and Eleanor "Sumners" Wright  on September 24, 1939 in Washington, DC.  She passed away peacefully at home on January 29, 2019.

Elva attended DC Public Schools where she graduated from Dunbar High School (class of 1958) in Washington, DC.  She also studied at the Atlantic Business College in Washington, DC.  Elva later went on to work at the Department of Navy.

Elva "LOVED" jazz music and movies.  Her favorite movies were: His Dying Wish, The Color Purple and The Dream Girls.  She also loved sports.  Her favorite sports teams were the Washington Nationals, Washington Redskins, Maryland Univ. Football and the Baltimore Orioles.  She enjoyed traveling around the world and taking in a good reading book in her leisure.

Elva loved her family dearly and she will be truly missed.

Elva leaves to cherish her memories her children, a host of other relatives and friends.
