Edna Mae Bates, born on May 23, 1926, in South Carolina, peacefully departed this world on August 23, 2024. She is survived by her three children, Karen, Stephen, and Laura, along with numerous relatives and friends who cherished her.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, September 7th, at St. Paul AME Church, located at 4901 14th St NW. Family and friends are invited to gather from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with services following. Burial will take place immediately afterward at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Suitland, MD.

Edna will be lovingly remembered and missed by all who knew her.
