Doris Holmes Edwards was born and raised in Washington, DC.  She was educated in the District of Columbia Public School System . Doris was a school teacher,and principal of Minor Elementay School in Washington ,DC.  She loved bowling and bowled on 2 leagues. and also enjoyed attending  the  Washington Mystic's women basketball games with her daughter. She leaves  to cherish her memories 3 children; Donald John Edwards, Darryl Louyco Edwards, and Donna Kelly Edwards, a host of grandchildren, relatives and friends.
