Charles was a WWII Veteran that served as an Army Medic in the Pacific and was a resident at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home for the last 5 years. After the war he became a mail carrier for the USPS. He went onto become an Electrolux Salesman based out of Arlington, Virginia and earned many awards. He was an avid Redskins fan and played trumpet in the Redskins Marching Band for about 40 years. He enjoyed a good game of golf, loved his pets, and liked watching the birds outside his window.
He cared for his parents and wife when they were ill and aging. Therefore, setting the example for us to do the same. He was always grateful and made it easy to care for him. His health was failing in recent months, but we had hoped that COVID-19 wouldn't have been his ending story. He will be so missed here on earth, and we pray that Jesus will reward him for a life well lived.
