It is with great sadness that the family of Charles William Soper, age 79 of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, announces his passing on September 28, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Josie Anne Soper (deceased); father of Sasha Elliot Soper (Michelle); grandfather of Vivien Soper; and dear family friend of John Stumpf. Charles was preceded in death by his sisters Gerry Yetter and Janice Soper, and brothers John Soper and Merrill Soper. Charles spent more than 40 years managing visual displays at top Washington, DC retailers, including more than 20 years at the historic Garfinckel's Department Store. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, October 4 at Cedar Hill Funeral Home, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, Maryland 20746.
