It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charles Herbert Brooks, born on December 12, 1929 , in Alexandria, Va. He peacefully departed this life on October 6, 2024.

Charles Brooks was the beloved son of Herbert and Eliza Brooks. Left to mourn his passing are a devoted wife of 62 years, two loving children and their spouses.  Charles is also survived by three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He leaves behind cherished memories that will forever be held in the hearts of his family and friends.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, located at 2200 Iverson Street, Hillcrest Heights, MD 20748. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with services to follow.

Charles' warmth, kindness, and spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
