Carolyn Oenia Grear was born on May 17, 1938, in Washington, D.C., and peacefully transitioned on May 5, 2025. A dedicated social worker, she devoted her life to supporting and empowering youth, leaving a lasting impact on many lives.

Carolyn cherished her family deeply and was loved by all who knew her. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit will be profoundly missed.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, May 16, at Cedar Hill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, with the service to follow. Following the service, Carolyn will be laid to rest at Lincoln Cemetery.

Her memory will forever be in our hearts.
