IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Candice Anita
Walker
November 6, 1954 – November 17, 2020
Candice Anita Walker was gently called to rest by her Holy Father, Jehovah God on Tuesday November 17, 2020 at 7:35pm. Candice was the 1 st of 3 children born to Willie Ella Walker and the late Nolan Walker Jr on November 6, 1954.
Candice attended DC Public Schools (Draper Elementary, Hart Jr. High School and Chamberlain Vocational High School where she studied retailing and graduated).
Candice and my brother Michael would always debate on everything in which Candice would always be declared the winner because she never would succumb. She was also a composer /songwriter. She self-taught herself using the internet and music books to learn to read and write music and play the keyboard. She loved playing board games with her family. We would always play Yahtzee and the Wii with her niece Bianca.
Candice official public display of her dedication to Jehovah was March 11, 1974 which she was baptized at the age of 19. She was dedicated to attending services at the Kingdom Hall every Sunday, field service and attending all of the conferences. In our house we would receive a letter from her in an envelope with the Awake or Watchtower. One of her ways of ministering to us.
Candice was always career minded. She was very intelligent and self-taught in all areas of her computer skills, in which she became fluent in. She enjoyed finding new and better ways to improve her skills. She worked in the private sector for the most part of her employment career. Always working for companies through government contracts.
Candice decided to start her own business which she called "Datariffic", which she later renamed her business. Her business consisted of consulting for a wide variety of companies, tax preparation, setting up websites, help people with starting businesses, making business cards and variety of other business endeavors. She also traveled often with a few of the companies she contracted with.
Candice provided her consulting services until her health declined and she could no longer continue with her business. However, she would still do a little side work for her friends.
Loving memories will be cherished by her mother, Willie E. Walker, her sister Angela Butler one nephew Renaldo Walker, one niece Bianca Butler, 1 God sister Ramona Parker, 3 adopted nephews, Quentin Goode (Cynthia), Steven Goode, and Nikya Ballinger, devoted friends Bernadette Dantly, and Beverly Hinton, and a host of uncles, aunts ,family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Nolan Walker Jr., and her brother Michael Walker.
