On Monday, April 9, 2012 loving wife of James Howard; beloved mother of Joann Artis (Gary), Wilson, North Carolina; Vicky Crowder, Riverdale, MD and Sharon Howard, New Carrollton, MD; eight grandchildren; Tiffany, Brittany, Gary, Jr., Dante, Ebony, Ke'Shae, Tanisha and Tyler; two great-grandchildren, JaMaya and JaShon; three sisters, Brenda Barrett (Ray), Greenville, NC; Dianne Williams, Chicago, IL; and Patricia Crowder, Wilson, NC; three brothers, Jerry Crowder ( Rose), Saratoga, NC; Jacell Crowder, Stantonsburg, NC and Theo Crowder, Washington, DC; twenty-four nieces, ten nephews and two aunts; Ruth Hall and Marlena Ward both of Stanstonsburg, NC; three sisters-in-law; Shirley, and Eunice both of Maryland and Verleen (Joseph), Snow Hill, NC; five brothers-in-law; David, Willie and Mike all of Washington, DC, Wayne of Maryland and Chester, Walstonburg, NC and a host of other relatives,friends and co-workers.
